Lets see.... this is off the top of my head
The Launch 21v -2005 was the launch of the 21V and it was pretty much the same/similar hull as the Supra Launch direct drive. That direct drive Supra Launch 21 has been around since maybe 98 or 99 and went to 2006 ish? The current 21V went until 2012?
The Launch 22SSV - was the same from maybe 2000-2006. It changed in 2007-2013? Much higher freeboard on the later model and just a bigger boat.
The Launch 24SSV - Came out in 2005 I think. Went until the 242 came out maybe 2011 ish?

Does that mean the 2006 and older 24ssvs are deeper than a 2006 22ssv?

Yes for sure. The 24SSV came out in 05' I think and it was a change in hull design and the 22SSV followed it in 07' with a similar design

So is there any real advantage of a 2007 22ssv over a 2006 24ssv?

Yeah.... 2'...
They are similar hull designs and similar look but the 24' is bigger of course

I actually prefer the size of the 22's in theory...but being able to buy an older model year 24 will reduce the price.

I believe there is a dash change between 06 and 07 if that matters to you. 07 might also be the introduction of automatic wakeplate. Love the size of my 24 (2006).

As previously mentioned there are several launch models.

Yeah I think KG is right. 2007 was the first year they came out with a digital dash on all models and it integrated the hydraulic wakeplate into the cruise control.... Basically the wake plate would have settings and automatically go to your desired setting once you hit wake board speeds and then would go all the way down for hole shot to get started...
