Default 2003 Launch SSV! Can it make a good surf wake?

I'm new to the Supra Club, last boat was a 2001 Mobius (which threw a decent surf wake when weighted correctly) I currently am in the process of purchasing image.jpgimage.jpga 2003 Launch SSV, but haven't had it in the water yet (too cold here w out a wetsuit).. Anyone have experience surfing behind one of these? I wake board a little, but it's about 80% surf time when I'm out, so that's what I'm mainly worried about. Any suggestions or options or does anyone have any pics or videos of their 2003 Launch surf wake? I would really appreciate it!

We did 750/565 in rear corner, if lack of people 600 lb tube on star side, and front 50% - 100% depending on wave length desired at 1180lb+. Plate all the way up.

I don't have any pictures but I've made very nice waves with and without using a homemade surf gate. The surf gate is the way to go in my opinion and there are several posts on how to build them. Most are in depth but I took the concept and built my own design. You tube has some videos of surf waves behind this exact model boat.

We finally went ropeless today in our 04. 750 lb in the rear port locker, 300lb in lead under the 750. 150 lb in the small locker before the cooler bin. The centre locker was also full with the standard size bag. 10.5 mph with wake plate fully down. 4 Adult males. We pumped the centre bag out for a bloke to have a ski and forgot to fill again and scored a good setup. I have a homemade gate for the stbd side which I am yet to try. Pretty happy with what we have achieved so far. Jason, thanks for the youtube vids. I'd like to see your gate also.

There is several of them on there. Without gates I would run 750 Surfside treat corner, 350 on the non Surf side rear, 1200 on the floor on the Surf side, center locker @500ish. It would throw a big clean wave but the Surfside rubrail was a inch from the water line. With the gates I run the rear the same. 400 on the floor and nothing in the center. Plate @ around 1/2 and 9-10mph. Boat is flat

Only surfed behind my 03 ssv, seems to work well. I've made my own gate. First video is my brother on a 5'6" fish 750 surf side, 500-600ish on the other side, stock center bag 3/4 full, wake plate just under 1/2 and speed of 10.3. Running about the same for my wife as she was working on sticking a 360.

Hope this helps, I don't have any pictures of the wake with my large rear bags.
