Is your island going to be 1 level? We went with a split level and really like it. Since your slab and plumbing/electrical are done there isn't much else that can change. Are you adding under cabinet lighting?

Yes, we want the island single level.
I have electrical in place so we could add lighting under or over cabinets at any time.

More progress...windows are in, patio posts are up and the fraidy hole is done. Data and coax lines are being run and insulation is getting started.

Brick has been started and hopefully exterior doors go on this week. It took a while for the front and rear entry doors to come in, but they're here now. The weather doesn't look like it is going to cooperate much this week, but hopefully some good progress can still be made.

is a fraidy hole a tornado thing? We don't have those in the PNW. of course, we don't have houses just built on a slab either. we always have a crawl space underneath.
