First Supra

Hello all,

I am new to the forum and in the market for a used Supra. I like the 22SSV in the 2005-2010 age range. I've been scouring Only Inboards and those type sites. It's a bit overwhelming. Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated. I grew up skiing on Lake of the Ozarks, now my kids have gotten the bug and I really want to support them as it is such a great sport.

Depends on what you want to do with the boat. Pre 2009 Supras do have a crap, i have to say this, ballast System, they changed it in 2009. You can upgrade the ballast pumps.. but it takes a lot of work or a lot of $.

Then.. check all seals, fluids, platform mounting points, stress cracks, the vinyl........ the usual things you have to check on every boat. Best is, if you can test-drive the boat... then you can hear the engine, if the tower or something else rattles...

If you are after a 22ssv, the hull changed in 2007 to be deeper with more storage.
