    Default First Ride of Year

I forced it. I insisted on going out even though it was WINDY!
On a 23,000 acre lake there was one good acre to boat on. I pulled my kids on tube and screwed it up for the one poor bastard trying to surf.
We got pounded on white caps; crap all blown in our eyes; near misses with debris, including a 7' diameter wooden spool. It just rained crazy here in Dallas so there is crap floating all over Lake Lewisville.
All that said, the highlight was my 14yo and friends taking selfies:

We went out this weekend too, just a couple hundred miles south of you at Canyon Lake near New Braunfels, TX. After weeks of grey and rain the sun came out, so we pulled our boat to the lake for our 2015 inaugural ride. The wind came up in the afternoon, but nothing like you experienced. Good to be floating again...

Hoping the ice is gone from my lake today. The boat is in, so I'm ready to go. Gotta take the test ride before putting the family in it!
