    Default Prop removal

Ive got to remove the prop since I dinged it last fall...Im having a hard time getting the prop fully off the shaft as it hits the rudder. Is it necessary to remove the rudder to remove the prop?
    thanks

Nope. The prop should come of with plenty of room to spare.

Yep, even in cases where it's tight for a tool to get in there, the prop should absolutely come off between the end of the shaft and the rudder. It's funny, that's not usually the sticking point for most people, it's getting the prop free in the first place!

    Is the rudder bent?

Try turning the prop one way or another (sideways) to get more clearance?

clearance is tight on mine too. i think i have to turn the rudder all the way to one side (can't remember which direction) and wiggle the prop a bit.
