    tow memorial weekend 15.jpg2015 Interior.jpg

Finally got "the other woman" back in the water over Memorial Day Weekend! The transom repair went really well and there is no longer any flex in the transom from the swim platform! However, I somehow managed to blow one of my exhaust flappers clear off the back . . . srews, retainer and all. When it did, water started coming in the screw holes making think that I had a leak in my newly repaired transom! Thankfully, it was nothing I did.

Michael - the Comp looks spectacular . . . I would be more than happy to drive it for you at WTW Georgia this year! (wink, wink)

[QUOTE=Sdc77;116231]Back to water this weekend, with new carburetor and ignition tuning, it's another boat, and I went from 27 liters/hour to 18 liters/hour of fuel !!! With good improvements : No more hesitation on off idle acceleration, no more black smoke at idle, no more black stuff in water coming out of exhausts. And a new PMGR starter, very fast crank, nice sound, no more heat etc.
    Happy guy

Feels great, right? I just got the "standard" tune-up done and upgraded new ignition in my 86 SunSport... it's like a whole new boat... lovin' in.
    Thanks,
    Adam

How's Lake Travis doing? I know that place was really low last year. You close to that at all? Sucks right now, but at least the lakes are filling back up.

Jet...at first I thought you somehow had shots of actual boating. I was wondering how in the world you could pull that off.

Travis is up 30' so far in May. It's still on its way up from the recent deluge. It's now only about 10' lower than the average for this time of year. It's been low for so long it's kinda weird to see it looking like a lake again.

Got out lake but a couple hours relaxing on the water before the tide went down and had to pull out or be stuck until well after dark. Got some riding in last weekend before the wind came howling in but no pics unfortunately.
