Decided to move forward with my idea of skinning the bottom of my platform to eliminate the lip on the outer ege when surfing. Having already designed my gates I couldn't just put material between thebrackets and platform go I had to come up with something different. I'll have it in the water Friday so we will see.

It appears to have made a significant difference. The Surf wake is smoother with little to no ridges. I'm happy with it.

This looks great. Ive been debating spending the money on a new surf platform or modifying the existing one. Are you gonna do a write up on this? If not could you pm me what you did.

I ended up using cutting boards that I cut in half. Three sections across the back and one each on the sides. I used scrap chunks in the in the low spots to raise the edge so it was flush with the lip and just screwed them to the platform with ss screws. I ran a hand plane over the leading edge . The hardest part was fitting the pieces together with tight seams. I got the cutting boards in sale for about $40.
