Default Wakeboard tower best for saltare

What is the best wakeboard tower to fit a saltare 89. Want to get into wakesurfing and boarding.

New Dimension. That's what'll go on my Saltare eventually. Since it costs a lot to fix holes in the cap and change to a more solid and aesthetically pleasing tower don't cheap out. Run a pole until you can justify the cost of a nice tower.

    Default Tower for Saltare

I have an '88 Saltare that I just installed an Aerial Ascent on. I am very happy with the fit, quality and looks. Boat had mounting feet from a previous install, but the tower was missing. The Aerial matched the existing mount points so I did not have to drill new holes! So I have to confess that was pretty important to me.

The wake at 18-22 mph is just about perfect for fairly aggressive wakeboarding. At 7-10 you can surf behind the Saltare. Not a HUGE wave, but plenty for our group.

I like cadunkle's comment about not going cheap. Towers that rattle and squeak get annoying fast!

I have absolutely no issues with my Monster MT-2. If mounted with a long enough stance it looks great and has been very sturdy. The new dimensions are really nice...but I could not justify the price.

Maybe a little late to your party, but I installed an Aerial Airborne tower on my Saltare this spring. I have yet to take any real pictures of the install, but I am VERY happy with the fit and finish. I do not fold the tower because it requires hand tools (was actually a surprise to me when I got the package). Outside of that and the slightly slow delivery, I am extremely satisfied with the tower! Also, a word of advice that I wish I had gotten: If you go with board rack, don;t cheap out. get something that folds in right from the get go. I'l be re-spending that money soon...

I only have a couple of pictures where the black tower shows up over the backdrop of trees..

Thanks man! When I did the tower I did a ton of cleanup waxed the entire deck and interior, freshened up all of the teak, and new carpet throughout. I still need to spend the money on having most of the seats re-skinned (you can see the split seams on the rear cushions from the overhead pic). Shes's due another round of gelcoat maintenance too. She get's used, 32 hours so far this season!

I'll be on Cumberland again this weekend with a photographer friend that'll have a real camera around. I want to get some good pictures.

This tower looks nearly identical to the tower that I put on my boat for a few hundred dollars less. I cant speak for any dealings with DIYWAKE, but it may be an option for someone:

I had the Aerial Airborne on my Sunsport and really liked it. Although it was an assembled tower, it was solid and quiet.
