So, if I find a 92 do I still need to check the stringers, I'm assuming the answer is yes. What else should I check for this model year?

It may have a Pro-Tec ignition. They are no longer available and have played out to fail on occasion. Really no big deal and lots of options out there to replace between 300 and 500 dollars. I'm thinking the Miami vice thing would be awesome
