Default Trailer Neck Question for 2006 21v Launch

Noticed of late when trailering from a stop, a small lurch or pop, of something slipping...Checked all connections etc....couldn't figure it out until I noticed on the trailer neck, it moves/slips back and forth....Is this correct? Anyone else have this happen? Part of the trailer in picture moves a couple inches....Appreciate the two cents...

The part that is sliding is for the surge brakes. All is normal.

Drives me nuts, as it does it on every start.

Check your brake fluid. If full and brakes working correctly it should not move a lot.

This is correct. If your system is bled and full of fluid, the movement in this part should be pretty minimal. If it's loose and "jerks" when you pull away from a stop, you need to address the problem (and your brakes probably aren't working very well.)
