While flushing all the oil and residue out of my bilge, I discovered this loose plug. What is it for?

Is the end of the plug sealed or open?
Is the head of the plug square (four sides only) of 1/2 inch size?
Looks like a plug for a fake lake connection.
How big is it? Same size as the male end of a hose?

Engine drain plug. Someone might have dropped it and could not find it and bought a new one.

Most block plugs are hexagonal-head, that looks like the square-head plug you'd find in the transom.
CLEARLY it's more likely to be an engine drain plug as others have mentioned, that got dropped in the bilge... but if you just asked me "what's this?" I would have said 100% that's from the transom.
You guys sure that's not a muffler bearing?
Nah! C'mom, you know muffler bearings are always chromed!
It is the cap for the Halogen fluid reservoir.
