Wake-Shaper or Wicked Wave

I'm looking at getting a Ghetto Gate or Wave Gate or whatever you want to call it.
Does anyone have any experience with either the Wake Shaper or Wicked Wave?
This is for my 2002 Supra Launch

Are there any others worth looking at?
This is what I know
Wicked Wave is around $300 for one side or $500 for a pair, made out of thick plastic
Wake Shaper is $550 but works on either side and they say can be swapped easily, made out of aluminum

I've seen these around the net. I would not be paying $550 for one . . ..

Most of the guys on the Moomba Forum are making them out or HDPE. Some are purchasing 3/4 or 1", others are using 1/2" cutting boards.
Take a look over there. You want to talk ghetto, check out the ones made of wood. I should not make fun of someone's effort b/c they WORK!

I'm going to make one, but have not had a chance this summer. Probably next year.

I made the wake-shaper version this past weekend out of 1/2" HDPE, 2 gate hinges, 2 belt hinges, and a piece of telescoping aluminum. Works great and ran me $100 instead of $550.
