    Default 1990 conbrio oil pressure

My conbrio's oil pressure is pegged out, when the motor is turned off the gage goes to zero, when the key is on and the boat is not started it is still at zero, as soon as you start it, it pegges at max pressure, the boat is running great, the oil pressure light was on and beeping at me, i replaced the oil sending unit with one that i bought from the local auto shop. It is no longer beeping at me and the light is not on but the pressure is still pegged. Do i need to by a marine oil sending unit or is it the gage? The oil sending unit almost looks like the original one but i am not sure if it is exactly the same?

From what I've learned with my Comp, you need to use Marine parts. Even though they are automotive engines, your best bet is Marine grade parts. I was going to say to check the oil levels again, buy I'm sure you have obviously done that. Good luck.
