Ok the supra's not in the picture, but this is my in-law's boat, a 1956 Shepherd. This thing SANK earlier this summer, and I don't mean the starter was underwater. 6 feet down. But it's so mechanically simple that it's just fine. It ran the next day, and it got all dried out and now it's back. For one more ride, then winterized.

I winterized my boat yesterday and it was 19F overnight! Sad as it is to winterize, I'm happy not to have to worry about the boat at all until spring. I made it through this whole season without so much as a single blown fuse or misfire of any sort. I changed the oil in July, tightened some loose bolts, changed out the fuel sending unit (to get it reading better)... that's about it.
gotta love the old woodies. What caused the old girl to sink? Glad it wasn't too much trouble to get it back on the water. It was down to 22f here the other night, and i still have to winterize. Had to leave the wood stove cooking in the garage all night just to be on the safe side. Blew out a freeze out plug when it sat outside last winter, i don't want to repeat that scene.

Thanks, yeah... well I don't know what the bill was. But it certainly fared better than something with more electrical parts, even like my '89 (EFI engine).

Anyway, they think a float switch on one of the bilge pumps got stuck 'up' and killed the battery... then we had some bad storms, plus the hull leaks a little (naturally)...

I've got the same ultrasonic and use it all the time. What are those two off of?

Last day out for the season. 64air 60water. Was able to get a pull before the season was over, I need to invest in a wet suit, ol board shorts didn't give much warmth.
