    Default 1st Supra - 1st Boat

Just completed the purchase of a 2011 Supra Launch 242. Since it is December, I caught a warm day for a test drive before my purchase. Trailered it home and took it directly to my local Supra dealer to have it winterized and shrink wrapped. This is going to be a long winter waiting to get out on the water.

I've had a couple of Seadoos for the last 3 seasons and they were a good introduction to water life, but very limiting on who we could take out with us. Not to mention when the water is crowded you get beat to death on those things. Putting them up for sale and making the transition into a large boat.

Welcome, I bought your boat's "little brother" in August, a 2011 Launch 22V, and it's also my 1st boat / 1st Supra. We had a blast with it over the summer, and can't wait for it to warm up again. Welcome to the Supra family!

Thanks, Kevin. It appears you have the same boat. I would love to hear about your experiences with yours. Any pointers I can get would be most welcome. We are really wanting to be able to surf off of ours. I can't wait for spring to get here.

Congrats on the new purchase as well; the boat looks great! It looks like we are in the same situation having new (to us) boats and first time ever owning ... and yet have to wait all winter to actually have any fun.

It is very exciting - owning a new boat, especially with it being a Supra. When I test drove the boat I was so impressed with the build quality and drivability. But having to wait out the winter is killing me. I can't wait for April to get here. Congrats on your purchase as well.

Ours is a 2012, other than that they sure look the same. We use ours almost exclusively for surfing. I will have to see if I can find the thread I did back when I was setting it up. It really works well and we still love it completely. No issues, no problems besides a bad remote on the transom and the swim deck pad coming unglued. It's a tremendous toy! Oh yeah, I do hate the glued in carpet, always looks ratty in my rather picky opinion.

Thanks, Kevin. And I agree about the carpet.
