    Default 87 supra comp ts6m

I just recently replaced the prop, strut and shaft on my 87 ts6m and when I fire it up it howles a lot could it be from the engine and coupler not being aligned properly ?

Are you running it out of water? The strut bushings need water to lubricate.

Yes I ran it out of water just to tryout the new parts but the old stuff didn't howl like that out of water but maybe because this one is new and hasn't been in water yet?

Your old one was also worn.
The new one is tight and yes, as per previous post you need to subject it to water.

Hopefully you did not spend the shaft long enough to burn the new bushing.

I think every new boat owner makes 25 mistakes and some of the 25 they do twice.
