    Default Throttle cable connection

    Always an adventure. 1986 ts6m

Throttle cable connecting nut came off last night.

We removed the screws from the box and the throttle. The box slid back about half inch and then stopped. We were not able to remove the box to get to the connections in back.

Does anyone know the trick to removing??

We were able to fish out the nut and reattach rather blindly.

Still able to ski last night just before sunset.

Also just installed a new relay, old one was sticking and not letting the boat start. The new one first time out continuously kept the starter engaged. Even after removing the battery cable. The cure seems to have been to bang on it. Worked fine rest of night.

I still want to check the connection so any help is welcomed.

Are you talking about the throttle assembly next to the driver's seat? Or the throttle linkage on the engine?

    Next to the drivers seat.
