Hear it is!!! I'm going out tomorrow to test it out and will post some videos.
I had to remove the decals off the back of my boat so I it would work with the suction cups.
My wake gate works extremely good so I used the same angle.
Hope it works so I now have one gate for both sides

I got out yesterday and tested my suc gate with the following setup.

    Direct Drive
    400lb front locker
    400lb back locker
    750lb either side of engine
    11 MPH

I had the top of the suc gate 2 inches out of the water so when I was moving it was under.
It shaped the wake, just wish my wave had more push.
Any thoughts on how to get the push better? My ski platform is really digging in, wonder if it's causing any issues.

Here is a video of me and my son on both sides of the wave.

Hard to tell how high the wave is with the angle of the gopro.

Push comes with height of the wave. A couple ways to get more height: More weight in rear, wakeplate angled up. Just for testing purposes, try putting a 750lb bag on your rear seat, and the other 750 on the floor behind the engine and see what happens. If that works, just move some people to the front of the boat to help with length.

I have a V-drive, so I've got the engine weight behind mine with another 1500 in ballast on either side of it. I just think you need more weight back there being a DD.

    Do you have a wakeplate?

You can also take the weight of the locker completely. Weight up front lengthenes the pocket but removes push and height.

I'd do something about that platform though. that thing is going to dig into your wave something terrible.
