Default 2004 launch ssv V-drive low oil light

V-drive low oil pressure light stays on. Oil level dipstick indicates we are in Normal operating range. Is there a sensor that goes bad? Anyone ever have this issue?

On mine I have a sender on the v-drive on the port side. Right beside the raw-water intake.
I don't really know how the light works but I would guess that either a grounded sensor-wire or an open sensor wire would cause this issue.
So you could check that you don't have an open lead from the sender to the light and that the lead is not grounded.

It is normal for it to be on in idle (I believe under 1200 rpm?).
    Same setup as roosm.

Even above 1200 rpm it stays on. Anyone had any major issues with this or has it typically been grounding issues and/or the sensor?
