86 Saltare prop shaft broke

Where can I find a replacement...looked on skidim's website and doesn't look like they carry them.

We had a horrible vibration after one good hole shot in our Comp. Got it in the lift and saw the end of the shaft was out of round. Took it apart and found it had cracked 90% of the way through! O.o

We took it to the local boat mechanic for a new windshield under insurance and while it was there we had him get a new shaft along with getting the prop reconditioned. The shaft and prop was a $1,000! It didn't help because in 1992 it is a double tapered shaft that is not a common type..

All I know is both the prop and shaft were locally sourced. Ask around. The prop got reconditioned off a recommendation of a friend.

General Propeller out of Florida . They make the shafts . I sent them the broken half of my 92 comp shaft . They made a new one and sent it back for 260.00
