    Default Oil pan replacement

Just curious if anyone can give me a rough guess on about how how much to have a shop replace oil pan on 86 pirata, due to overtime at work I just don't have the time. Kind of disappointed since this will be the first I have not done my own repairs. I have done prop shaft, rudder stabilizer fins and all the other fun stuff associated with owning an inboard, tia

What happened to your oil pan?

I did it with a friend in an afternoon. It wasn't a super fun job and I wasn't eager to crawl under the engine that we had hoisted in the air from a 1970s bucket truck.

I would guess around $1000 because I figure that's the minimum for an engine pull and reinstall. Make sure they do an alignment while doing it and I'd also have your rear main seal done at the same time (if there's a 2-piece in there already.)

Took it the dealer they are actually cheaper on parts and labor than my local marines plus the local shops don't really want to deal with inboard
