Crazy! The boat service shop quoted me like $90! Go figure.

Oh, the Indmar factory parts are $$$. And truth be know, it's probably the $30 set with a sticker on it.

I read on line that they recommend changing these out at 30,000 miles in vehicles for this motor. Not sure what that equates to in boat hours, but that's more regular than I expected. Good to know it doesn't have to be $100 a pop!

I tried to get some random 350 plug wires from the auto parts store, and they wouldn't work for me. with the 340 CAT engine, there is really tight clearance at the distrib cap to the intake manifold, so no way straight ends would have worked on the starboard side of the engine. And the coil wire is really short. The routing is also different on auto vs boat, so I wanted to be sure I had the required length of wire. Yeah, it wasn't cheap, but it was nice that they were all numbered and clipped together and the optimal length.

Some things you can't skimp on. Glad to know its not an arm and leg to be able to keep the ignition system in check.
