    Default I've defected.

New boat finally arrived. I've been shopping all summer and the right deal finally came up. I wanted to stick with Skiiers Choice (Was looking hard for a deal on a 242 or new MOJO) but just couldn't find the right boat in my price range. Plus, the BU w/ the illusion tower has always been one of my dream boats.

I still plan on sticking around here, though. I know vintage Supras pretty well and I'm still excited to see what all you crazy people are up to.

And no, Cadunkle -- I will not be tearing all the fuel-injection off and replacing with a big block ford with a carb.

2004..... I shopped/drove everything from 2004 - 2017 and decided this was the sweet spot for me for price (and I'm super, super, super skeptical of the computer screens in the new boats.)

Congrats. Boat looks great. I totally agree with the screens. They are going to be a huge headache down the road.

I agree. Most of these new boats are under warranty. How will those unit perform in 5yrs? 10yrs?

What's the cost going to be?

When I read these forums, it appears to be a software update/reset, then the unit gets swapped out.

My last iPad only lasted 3 years. I do not have kids beating on it and it was not abused. Then the board goes badinage day. So $250 in parts or just buy a new unit? Not a Apple fan to start with.

Couldn't agree more. I think my sweet spot for a boat is more like 1998. Relatively simple EFI and no digital gauges, screens, throttle/shift control, or ignition switch. I see way too many issues with all the electronics in newer boats, no thanks. And I worked at a marina for 8 years and I'm in IT. So, yeah.

    Nice boat, congrats!

At work, we joke about how we trouble shoot or "fix" any messages that they plane throws. Just turn it off and reset it.
