Mariah and Barefooting

I have used my 90 Mariah with a 351/ 1.23 trans and we could just get enough speed to have a go. My buddy on the rope knows how to foot pretty darn good, I still have not been longline. I did get a boom so maybe there is some hope for me. Oh, we also needed to put the top down due to wind resistance. My original prop is 13x13, a call to acme props and talked to a tech about my boat and the weight she has put on over the years. The set me up with a 4 blade that still gives me the top end, but out of the hole will rip your arms off!! You should be able to check the secondary with the engine off by just opening the throttle fully. Best of luck!!!
