    Default lenco trim tabs

Hi ive been looking at the new surf systems on boats and all they are is trim tabs mouted to semi push the water down and away from the boat. After seeing a price of near $3500 for this system from wake makers i looked into the lenco trim tabs and you can get the complete set up for $600 will these work they are 12x12 tabs? Just wondering if this is a better option.

Suck gate. You can buy them for under 200.00 . I make my own for under 50.00 . Its absolutely unbelievable how well they work with no drilling, gluing or modification to the boat.

This spring, I installed a set of Lenco 12 x 12 tabs on my 2005 Launch 21V. With 750lbs each rear locker and 1100lbs in the front, the wake was good but not great. The biggest advantage was switching on the fly. I would say, that I got a similar size and shape wake to the previous summer without the tabs but adding 700lbs external ballast to the surf side and the hassle of moving it all from side to side. THEN...I made a DIY suck gate and used it together with the tabs and WOW, AMAZING! I've also tried it with just the suck gate and still excellent but a little shorter sweet spot. If I had it to do all over again, I would just go with the suck gate.
