    Default Sea Ray SLX-230-W

Has anyone seen the new Searay inboard?

I have not been to the boat show in a few years. I hope to see one in person. Pretty cool they are coming out with some different stuff: exhaust, tabs in the center, fins in the back corners.

The wave in the promo looks decent but in the surfing video it looks tiny... would at least need to add tabs or a surf device to make it worth while...

Agree - some pics the wave looks good - some pics it looks small. Not sure if it was released yet. Then they will post better videos.

It appears to have some type of tab device on it - corners. I did not look to see if it moves. I know Sea Ray had something called DRS - dynamic running surface:

The center tabs have fins. Two, instead of one big one.
Touch pad controls for all the stuff.

Not much detail on the weight or the hull design. I assume the hull was the 230 run about tailored to an I/B in the new mold.

Sea Ray sold to a pretty big I/O audience. They will get lots of looks. It will cost $$$.

I did not notice the bow thruster in the pics.

Ugly azz color in that YouTube video. Looks like a military boat.

Thru hull exhaust is a good idea. Bow thruster...very interesting and complete with joystick. Looks like they found another millennial to do the graphic design work.

Heading to ATL boat show next weekend. Will have to check this out for real.

Interesting with the exhaust coming down like a FAE but not in front of the prop? Wouldn't that create a ton of drag??

They made an inboard in the 90's, the SKI Ray. Not a bad wake for slalom, actually. Tiny gas tank. But predictably fun to drive and ski with actually.

I would think so. I know I have seen this in the past on another style inboard. Don't recall what.

Also what I meant to say was, "behind" the prop - in "front" (forward of) would create a ton of problems with the prop aerating, obviously.

Edit: also, side note - I wouldn't love picking that boat up with a forklift. Lots going on under there.
