    Default Drive Shaft Packing Wrench

I've been tightening the nut for my drive shaft packing using large pliers. I'm not proud of it!?! Seeing as it's a 24SSV, and I can't even see the packing nut to tell what size it is, I wondered if anyone can recommend a "correct" size and type wrench to adjust the packing?

Skidim sells one, not sure if that would be what you are looking for?

Use a tape measure and measure the nut , if the shaft is inch and a quarter I would guess the nut would be 1-7/8"

Thanks! I think the nut size is 1-7/8", so I ordered the wrench. I'll let you know how it fits...

I bought one of these and used a grinder to hack off ~1/2 of the handle.
