No , you must remove shaft and prop and coupler , skidim.com sells the bearings , I got the plastic ones , supposed to last 10x longer . Better make sure your alignment is correct from strut to shaft log to engine , I almost sunk my boat due to worn cutlass and bad alignment . If it's older boat they are 1" shafts mostly but you wanna look at prob numbers to verify . All thread and washers with 2 nuts to pull in the new and loctite to finish the job
