I ran new bilge vent hose back to the blower last season, although my blowers are both mounted on the stern...good idea to keep them out of the bilge/water?
I ran new fuel lines when I did the bilge hose too...they were starting to get cracked near the fuel pump.

That's how my fuel hose is too, no issues. And..that's not a filter, that's the lift pump or pre-pump for the fuel pump in front of it.IMG_1552.jpgOriginally Posted by Eurobound
I am a bit worried about the hose that is rubbed up against the side of some sort of canister. I haven't had time investigate which filters and components are what but any insight on this would be helpful otherwise I'll figure it out when I get the manual early next week.

Red fluid is probably from fogging oil, I'd clean the spark arrestor (the dirty silver thing on top of the throttlebody) with carb cleaner...only use the brake clean if the carb cleaner doesn't work....just cheaper.Does anyone know how red transmission type looking fluid would end up around that bolt on top of the throttle body? How clean does the spark arrest /air filter have to be? I see light all around. If I just use brake clean to clean it up a bit more will I be okay?

get rid of those wire nuts...waterproof butt connectors...cheap and easy.

I don't think you'll need a pcv valve, unless it is plugged, easy to check though.

I have the 2000 version of this boat, has been very solid once i got rid of some of the gremlins. Hopefully with your model they do not have the Medallion black control box for the gauges. If your gauges do not work and you have the MDC unit from Medallion there is a pretty simple (but time consuming) work around which eliminates it.
If you need pics of anything as you are working on yours let me know.

AFAIK all the guages work. Yes, I am expecting some gremlins hence the reason I am doing so much research. Unfortunately I spent my spare time in the last 4 weekends working on and cleaning my 92 325i to get it running buttery smooth again to sell (struts, shocks, rear wheel bearing, window regulator, spark plugs, cleaned fuel injectors and replaced pintles, fuel filter, tranny, diff and MT oil, serpentine belt amd some other stuff) and I wish I had that time to work on the boat. My wife wants to take the boat out next weekend for a quick ride which I said to her was fine but to expect we might uncover some issues!
Do you have a pic of the MDC box so I know what I'm looking for?

That is it - the MDC is a black box under the dash about 4"x8"x3/4" thick. if you gauges are working it should not be an issue.
