Default Looking to switch over to a v drive from a Yamaha jet boat

I currently have a 2015 Yamaha 242 limited S, and it's a great boat, but have started thinking about getting in to a v drive. I have a 3 year old son who I plan to introduce to watersports when he is a little older, and the Yamaha just doesn't cut it for wakeboarding, surfing, etc. One of my neighbors had a 2016 SA, then upgraded to a 2017 SE earlier this year and both look like super nice boats. I am really interested in the SA, and would like to possibly trade or sell my Yamaha and purchase one next spring. Has anyone here switched from jet to v drive and regretted it? Not really looking to bash the Yamaha. Like I said it's a great boat for hanging out on the lake, and cruising around at 50 mph. Thoughts?

Not the first time I have been told that! Hoping to get out and surf behind my neighbor's soon.
