Default best prop for barefoot on 1991 ts6m comp

Hi all i know the obvious answer is the one that makes boat go fastest but wondered from experience before i try swapping about if anyone could recommend best prop for top speed.
I currently have a 13x12 on the boat which seems to just get to 35/36 however will be gps checking speedos this weekend.
I also have a 14x14 in the cupboard.
What should give me best top speed and also i am assuming should be revving no higher that 4400rpm max?
Is it ok to keep at that RPM for a barefoot run as in manual says 4400 intermittent.
Years ago had a 91 nautique same engine exactly but cant say what prop it had but used to barefoot ok.(although i am now 15 stone and not 12.5 to 13)
    Thanks dave

What engine and how many HP? You should be getting at least 42 mph out of that boat with the 13x12. If your only getting 35/36 it`s more then the prop. Hopefully the stringers are not rotted out and your carrying a ton of soggy wood under the floor.

    Hi thanks for reply.
    Its a 1991 351 with protec and 260hp i believe.
Have not had it long and not had carpet up but all floor feels solid except for panel under centre of back seat.
Stringers through engine bay feel 100% solid and when i screwed into it to fit seperating filter was dry solid wood.
There was a bit of rot on stringer edges under back seat in front of tank where over the years people have screwed into it however only seemed to be near the surface and confined to that area.
Just tried the 14x14 and checked with gps now getting just to 34/35 and flat out revs 3800 once settled.
Would one of the newer 4 blade props be better.
I have got play in strut bearings and have bits to replace so probably is a bit of vibration but nothing bad.Can that have an influence even if small amount of vibration.
    Thanks dave

I dont think it`s a prop problem. You should be able to max at 4600 rpm`s. Click the manual for 1991 MC same engine as your supras. http://www.mastercraft.com/manuals Also this thread https://www.mastercraft.com/teamtalk...ad.php?t=37478 Talk to Vince at http://www.skidim.com/ He knows all about older supras
