They did make a Comp Classic with the old style windshield and composit construction. When looking at used boats or anything else if it looks abused it was abused.

I thought the Classic was 97 only? This boat is a 96 and has the square windshield.

To the best of my knowledge - - - back in 96/97 Supra was having some difficult times and chose to oull out some old moulds for the comp using the newer composite construction rather than spend $ on new models for this line( comp).
Thus you see these 96/97 comps with square windshields. Great hull but not the sleek appearance that the 93 or 94 comps showed on the upper deck and dash etc.

The Esprit is the poor mans version of the conbrio. Same hull , engine etc but not all the trimmings.
Similar to comparing a ford f150 xlt to a ford f150 Platinum model.
The exact same holds true for the Impulse as compared to the comp ts6m.
Fyi ts6m stands for “ tournament skier 6 metres”
6 metres translates to 19 feet 6 inches which was the accepted length for a true tournament boat pulling skiers in competition.

    Hope this helps

    Thanx Crystal !!!!!
Maybe I can finally get a good nights sleep.
Its been driving me crazy. Is it correct to say that the comp is the only one with three skags on the bottom and all the rest have two ?

    Zzzzzz.....

Would be cool to see a time line of what models were available in each year and how many got sold.
Seams to be a lot of supras for sale in Canada. Has anyone ever bought out of the states ?

I can tell you the conbrio and esprit have two only.
Not sure re impulse but suspect it may well be three.
Anyone out there who can confirm?
