Default Black Seadek Pad - Any Experiences?

I was looking to replace my swim pad with black Seadek. Seadek informed me that having black as a top color will cause excessive heat and shrinking, and they would not warranty it. I searched google and saw a few pictures of people having black Seadek and wanted to see if anyone here had experience. Is it really that big of an issue? I’m rethinking my color choices, but I still think black would look the best!

I just replaced my swim deck pad and the original was some black rubber stuff. I replaced it with the cool grey SeaDek. I saw that warning about heat and it steered me to the grey. I live in AZ and didn’t want to take a chance.
