What problems do you have surfing? I doubt it's the board with a boat like that it's your technique. Send some video.

Simple things like having your toes close to the edge of the board keep you in the wave and make the board ride better.

Also when you are riding look down in the wave. Notice the water in the top part of the wave has a different color then the water in bottom part of the wave. Stay in that part of the wave for best effect.

If you were on my boat I would put you on my old Inland Surfer Blue Lake with bigger fins. With the bigger fins the board surges forward when you move your weight forward.

I agree with the post above. I know some guys that ride Supra SEs with P5s, Inland Surfer Red Rockets, or custom boards (like a Choas) that fly. If they are not careful at first, they end up in the back of the boat.

Im the same size as you and ride the phase 5 trident and just got the the 4-10 ronix bat tail thruster behind my G23. Both can be popped off the wake but the thruster is definitely stickier with 4” fins. I surf with my kids on both boards so I know they are both good to 300# so they would be 2 Good options I would suggest

I am short and fat at 5'8 265#'s and my wake is smaller than what you can get with an SE. I recently demo'd a CWB Voodoo 58", set up quad fin, and had some of the best rides of my short surfing life. It's not horribly expensive either.

I'm 6'1" 190 pounds and I've ridden the Connelly Ride Heavy Duty. I really liked the board. Connelly says it's good up to 260 lbs. You might want to check it out.

I have yet to surf behind a Supra as ours isn't built yet, but behind our old Yamaha 242X, the 5'3" Slingshot Coaster did a good job on that mess of a wave. Being pretty much the size of an NFL lineman (without the monetary benefits of being one), I could never go ropeless, but we test drove an ATX last summer, I used that board and immediately had slack in the rope. Probably could've dropped it, but we had 4 kids with us itching to try out the wave so I let them have a turn instead.

I am 6'3" 240 lbs and use the Hyperlite Landlock. It's a good big man board and easy to get up on. Kids really have fun on it too because they can get really far back on the wave with it.
