    Default Hydraulic steering?

I am rebuilding a 87 supra and the cable was froze. Anyone install manual hydraulic sterring? I'm thinking it's got to be better than a cable.

Looks like you have a big project ahead on your restoration. I would buy a new cable, check all connection points for slop and stick with the factory setup. I had an 89’ and it steered great with the original setup. I just went thru the steering on my 04’, and I found several issues that I addressed and it steers great now.
Adding the hydraulic setup would be much more expensive. Just my 2 cents though.

Check for worn parts. I replaced the rudder, port, cable, and helm on my Saltare a few years ago. With the worn parts it was hard to steer at speed and the rudder leaked. With new parts it steers very easy to steer and no leaks.
