Default Opinions, on 2001 Legacy Windshield Bimini Tops

    Folks

Back in boating after a 25 year layoff. Just bought a 2001 Legacy. Love it! Looking to Supra owners views on Windshield mounted Bimini's. Ideal situation is NO DRILLED HOLES on my boat. Thoughts

If you drill one hole in each side of the lower windshield frame for the bimini mount, then drill into the rub rail for the straps and that should eliminate any drilling into the top cap and as an added bonus.

A windshield mounted bimini is too low to be useful kinda like sitting in a cramped car. I chose to increase the size and height of the bimini to actually work. I had to drill 4 holes just behind the windshield the front straps are attached to the rub rail and the rear attach to the grab handles.

    Michael,
Looks like that comp morphed from yellow to blue accent. Job well done my friend!

Yes the yellow was the original. I changed it to match the wave when we did the interior. The wife has made a new Sunbrella top to replace the sagging cheap fabric.
