Default Any tips on sealing traps?

I will attempt to pull the traps this week, any pointer on tools to use? How hard is it to get the traps off? I will use the slow cure 3m sealant.

it's pretty straightforward...socket wrench for the nut holding the traps and a phillips head attachment on drill for the screws holding the mating plate on the transom.

clean the old stuff up (easier said than done depending on what was used before) and apply the sealant. if you look at the backside of the mating plate you'll see a pretty big groove, i loaded that up with 5200 and also the crease left inside the exhaust pipes once the mating plate is attached. don't forget to apply sealant to the screws when you're putting them in.

I was worried about the heat with the 5200 (and my local marina was not helpful with this).... I used exhaust grade gasket maker in the same way that salty did. No leaks so far.
