    Default Strut bushing

I need to replace the strut bushing on my boat. I measured the length of the strut and it’s 8”. I can only seem to find 4” and 4 1/2” bushings. Is it safe to assume it uses two 4” ones? I was under the impression it would be one long bushing.

I'm thinking it is two pieces, each held in with a set screw. At least that's what I remember when I did mine.

It was. The boat came with a spare 4 1/2” bushing. When I pulled the old ones out they were maybe 2” long. So I cut the one I had in half and installed them. Good to go.
