    Default Morse removal

    87 comp ts6m

I've found a few really old threads here about morse throttle control removal... Most pics are now dead.

Anyway, 3 screws removed, tried finessing the throttle lever and pulling out and up or down from the end toward the rear. I have managed to get that end away from the wall about a half inch, but that's all.

I don't want to break anything... If I find the "sweet spot", is it an easy slide out? Or do you really have to give it hell and yank it out of there?

Did you remove the 7/16 '' bolts on the backside of the unit?

No I didn't... I havent seen any mention of bolts on the backside, but that sure makes some sense. I'll have to give it another look... I have pictures from behind there but i'm over 6' so I really cant get in there myself, will have to enlist someone smaller.

Yes the control splits in half after removing the 1/4'' bolts from the inside. You will need to remove the shift arms take note of their position. In the pic I have a screwdriver pointing at one of the four bolts this one uses flat head screws .
