Default 2007 Supra 21V Swim Platform

Has anyone had trouble with the mounting screws becoming stripped underneath the swim platform? What is the fix? Larger screws or is there some kind of fiberglass filler that can be used?

Yeah this is common with those brackets. There is some posts here with a fix. Basically you need to cut a small square in the floor to gain access to the lower screws and replace the with bolt/nuts.

It's actually the scews where the swim platform attaches to the brackets. Not where the brackets attach to the transom. Would epoxy work to re-fill the holes on the underside of the swim platform and then re-insert the screws?

    Thanks for the help

Yes and maybe drill a couple new holes and add screws into a new location.

We used carriage bolts through the top as ours stripped twice. FIrst time we added epoxy and larger screws, but they came off again.

Long term solution would be adding some type of spacer under the platform to raise it out of the water and create less drag and then a better bolt solution.

I put some HDPE spacers (strips) on top of the brackets to raise it 3/4 to 1”. This was on a newer surf platform on a 2007.

    It helped.

The original platform was not smooth on the bottom and the outside corners would dig into the wave.
