    Default 90 Comp rebuild

The rebuild has begun. This is 7 hours of work after the cup was pulled.20230203_095024.jpg90 comp first picture of the rebuild.jpg My plan is to get the glass work finished in one of the new home garages we are building while the weather is warm. Also keep all of fiberglass mess away from the wife. Put to cap back on and save the rest for a winter project.

20230818_130148.jpgI'm ditching the rubber mufflers & plastic through hull exhaust fittings. They are being replaced with 3" exhaust tubing and stainless through 20160305_192132.jpghull fittings. For the muffling there will be the guts from 2- 36" glass packs. The last owner got the exhaust a little hot at some time.

Ditching the nylon through hulls is, in my opinion, one of the best upgrades an older Supra owner can do.

See my list in the Supra contest, General Chat from 10-10-2022. The failure almost sunk my boat.

20230724_165734.jpgI'm doing this build in the garage of a new home we are building in a upper scale retirement community. It's giving all of the retirees something to talk about on there morning walks. Lots of looks and ??? I took the boat home last week. Now they are asking where it's and they want me to bring it back so that can see it when It's finished. I think I'll bring it back when
I'm finished and set it in the front yard for a cupule mornings.

20230819_114047.jpgGlassing the edges of the floor. The blue is some really good left over 1/2" plywood from a job.

Hagman, visual inspection showed no damage. We checked the type of neoprene used in the construction and it has a melting temperature of significantly higher than what they would have been subjected to during the rather brief overheat. So we reused them and they have performed flawlessly.

But please see the Supra Contest thread in the General Chat to see the overheat alarm (over the exhaust manifold flextube) and the electronic bilge pump with water alarm. I will never be blindsided again by an overheat.

Some photos, the third is a brand new Salisbury.
