Engine temp light/alarm
Hey everyone,
I've had this boat for three seasons now. I've got most of the bugs out and the first time out with new oil, fuel filter, plugs started perfectly and the hole shot was awesome.
Now the second day; as soon as we started the boat the engine temp light and alarm went on. The belt and impeller are new, and besides we ran the boat for three hours of wakeboarding and the alarm stayed on the entire time. We watched the temp guage and it was steady at around 160 -normal for us-. The thermostat feel fine, the wires are connected.
I'm hoping one of your guys can offer suggestions.

I was having a similiar problem but my alarm didn't stay on all the time. Mine was inconsistantly going on and off and turned out to be a loose connection behind the instrument panel. You may want to crawl underneath the sterring wheel and jiggle each wire around to see if you can get it to go off.

Thanks for your advice, I'm wondering, since the light and alarm are sounding, if the problem might be in the thermostat. I'm also hoping someone out there has narrowed it down to "the green wire" or "the wire running from the..."
I'll take out the seat tonight and start wiggling wires.
