    Default RPMs at WOT

Sorry for the triple post! Arrgh...

I am curious what others are getting for RPMs at WOT. I have an 01 Sunsport with the 320hp TBI, and I peak at 4400 RPMs. I am thinking I should be getting right at 48oo to get full power and run the engine properly. Any thoughts?

I have a 92' Mariah witha PCM 351 HO. With the prop fresh from the shop and running smoothly I can turn 4400 RPMs at 49 MPH. I try not to do this very often. I think a new indmar can get away with 4400 but i worry about engine damage at that high of engine speed.

    Default RPM

The 4400 is a good rpm. I would not run there for long periods of time. but it sounds like you have a strong running boat, have no worries.Brian Raymond

You can order a owners manual for the 351 from www.skidim.com. They have them on their website for $11.00
