raw water strainer

I have read many post on wakeboarding sites about cleaning your raw water strainer. I have looked all over my PCM engine manual and I cant find anything on it. Does the Supra 1991 comp ts6m have a raw water strainer?

i added one to mine, if you have one you'll find it right before the tranny cooler on the intake hose.

I wondered about that myself.My pcm on my 95 supra comp has somewhat of a straner in my trans cooler,pull off the hose going in the cooler and you can see it,looks like it would only keep out sticks or weeds.I need to think of putting one in.

Are they/you talking about the external raw water pick up strainer?

It's just forward of the prop shaft on the left/port side of my hull. It's external through-hull plumming.

Actually, mine is hammered and need to be replaced, though it's still functional.
