First time boat purchase

I am about to buy my first ski boat. Any suggestion on what to look for on the boat? It is 95 Supra Mariah

have you taken it out on the water? did you lift the engine cover while you were out? did the previous owner keep good records? have you had a compression test? are the floors soft anywhere?....under the seats?

look everywhere....engine, under the seats, in the bilge, all storage areas. check out the upholstery and hull, if it isn't clean it probably wasn't taken care of very well while they were running it, too.

did you compare the price against other boats in your area? did you check it against www.nadaguides.com?

I'm with Salty. Check EVERYTHING out. Stand on the floor to see if it is soft. Ask for old record. Go run the boat. Check the prop - chipped like they hit stuff? BE PICKY.
