    Question Depthfinder puck mount location?

Has anyone installed a depthfinder on a TS6M or Conbrio with the transducer mounted inside the hull?
Where did you locate the thru hull transducer, how did you mount it, does it work well in that location?
    THANKS!

I installed on on my 89 sunsport I mounted the transducer on
the inside hull in front of the rudder using epoxy. It has
    worked great for 19 years.

Thanks, I was wondering if the "coreing" used on the Supra hulls would cause inteference with the transducer signal.

I placed mine too far forward and it doesn't work.... I'll be trying to knock it out (or add another one) and epoxy it further back towards the rudder.

Which boat do you have. My 87 was constructed with "Kevlar" and "Coremat" which usually causes thru hull transducers to NOT work.

My 89 is Kevlar I'm not sure on core mat.
The rear of the boat is always in the water if you
get bubbles or the hull is out of water it wont work.
Make sure you mount it completely to the hull no air
    gaps I used epoxy.

87 Saltare... I've seen these pucks work on the kevlar hulls before, you just need to mount them far back, but in front of the rudder and prop.

You can also mount it 6-8" off of the centerline between the starter and the starboard transmission mount. This is a non-disruptive area and is serviceable w/out removing seats and floorboards. Before installing, be sure the bilge is dry, rough up the area w/80 grit sandpaper, and use a 2 part epoxy to adhere. Be sure not to get air bubbles in between the puck and the epoxy. Hope this helps, keep us posted. Brian Raymond
