Hey guys thanks a lot. We customized her a lot. This spring she needs some engine tuning. I highly recommend the Fresh Air Exhaust. Hope you guys had a chance to check out my vimeo vids too.

FAE is totally outside the hull of the boat, no drilling THROUGH the transom is required.
First you remove the old Supra Traps, fill the screw holes with 3M marine epoxy,
then drill new holes in the wood of transom for a new flange. Bigger and
longer screws for a better hold (also expoxied). Note that in the
first pic the exhaust pipe sticks slightly out from the transom. In
the 2nd pic you can see that the custom flanges are wider than the
exhaust pipe and fits over the top of the exhaust.

While the FAE could be removed and normal flappers or
trapps replaced, it is intended to be permanant. I don't know why
you would ever get rid of it (because it ROCKS), unless you are
selling and want to sell accessories seperatly to another
87 SunSport owner.. Similar to the tower.

Here it is all installed (althought the downpipe tip is backwards here hehe).
Larry had to custom make the FAE. Our exhaust outlets are wider than
most boats. Also the flanges are custom, and there are double the
supports (two on each side instead of just one). So this should be
very well supported. I haven't had any issues yet even
    when powerturning.

You can also see my shiney new ACME#913 prop here, thanks JT Nettle!
In the last pic my patform has been sanded and is awaiting TeakGuard.

Seeing the way you did that it seems like you should be able to install flappers the same way? I really like the purpose the FAE serves along with the fact that it looks BA!
