that tower looks great, follows the boat's lines really well.
love the color...don't tell me that's factory...
what else have you done? looks like some teak is missing from the back?
is your 454 a pleasurecraft model?
how do you drain the oil / trans fluid
i cant find any drain plugs.
awsome boat, by the way.
I just also got a 1986 Supra Saltare and am going through it. This is my only complaint with this boat I had to pump out the oil through the dip stick.
Will post some pictures once it's all put back together.
I will post some interior pics tommorow, it is torn apart. I will put up pics as I do it. Yes it does have a fiberglass platform with a ss rail. The colors I chose are 2005 Corvette Limited Edition Blue and 2007 Lexus Silver. I removed the teak rail along the back, I did not loke it. The tower came off my last boat a 1983 Ski Nautique 2001. Boy I caught some crap from my freinds that own Nautique dealership when I bought this Supra. Were eles can you get a 23 foot inboard this old with a 454? Yea have to pump through the dipstick. I am still learning this boat, I got it just last year.
Oh, thanks for the compliments. I appreciate it.
Both are great boats, George Fowler came from Correct Craft where he designed the martinique. In 1981 he started Supra. The older Supras all share the PCM running gear
and quality of the Correct Craft. So the Nautique dealer recognize the similarities and should be able to service your boat. Tell them they are first cousins. I own both brands
they are both top notch builders.
On my old open-bow Reinell, Mercruiser engine, I pumped the oil thru the dipstick for
10 years - no problems, just make sure it's warm first. I use a pump exactly like what
is posted in the other thread about htis - Moeller I think.
I will also use that same pump for the Supra, just will hook it to the drain hose instead
of dipstick.
