Thanks I found the VLP easily online - is it something common I could just pick up locally at a Home Depot or Target? Much appreciated.

I'm not sure what is under the vinyl on my rear ski locker sun deck cover. When I open it up, the underside of the lid looks like plastic to me! But the underside of the cover on my cooler is wood covered in mesh fabric (cooler full of ice + plywood = rot and mold eww). Go figure.

Sorry no pics of Memorial Day here I did get out a bit but nothing awesome, wasn't able to wakeboard yet because of prop vibration. Will fix ASAP! Nice weather on Sat and Sunday but Monday was cloudy and SUPER windy. Getting nicer up in Minneapolis!

I could not find VLP locally here. I just ordered a tube for my boat vinyl on ebay. The last time I used it was on my '67 Mustang vinyl driver's seat. I had a tear about 1½" long and it worked really good - stayed soft and plyable, strong with no gaps and blended really well. Hope it works as good for you!

    Agreed!

How do you have your boat weighted? Wake plate? What speed are you running there?

    Nice looking 22 also.

Thanks guys. The boat is a Supra Sunsport 22V walk-through, which means no playpen bow... here is how it is weighted:

    Rear: 650 x 2
    Center locker: Stock 400-lb bag
Under bow seats: 500-lb Fly High integrated bow sack, filled with a Jabsco reversible ballast puppy pump.
    Wakeplate at 53%
    Total: 2200 lbs.

We had about 8 people in the boat, two in the bow and the rest scattered around the boat. I used a 30-gallon garbage can to drain the integrated bow sack into in order to figure out how much water was up there. Filled it to the top once, and almost to the very top a second... 500 lbs under my bow seats. I was blown away it would hold that much.

i put my bimini up after getting burnt to a crisp a few weeks ago. down here, i keep it on for 6 months and off for 6 mos. just the family on this trip for some sun and a picnic. we anchored right below the dam, had the place to ourselves.

    shot of the shoreline

the current was tough. the dam started releasing water just as we anchored, lake went up 1.5'...that's from 4' to 5.5' way up here.

the bimini came in REAL handy. raining with some blue skies in the background.

we hit the trailer after this quick drenching. still trying to dry the carpet out. it rained again today. we need it bad though.

    what did you do?

I know EXACTLY where that is. That is the Lake Austin side of Mandsfield Damn. Over near Apache Shores. We use our boat on Lake Travis on the otherside of the damn.
